About The Game Patch
It provides the Game with data of new players who were not originally in the game, and generally updates the rosters regarding trades, free agents, injuries, positions, ratings, overall team performance, jersey numbers, team info and more. And yes, Michael Jordan is there with stats and the play-by-play announcer even calls him "Jordan". (NOTE: The arena announcer will call him "Reggie Jordan", there's currently no way around this.)

Installation
Copy the unzipped files into your main NBA Live 98 Directory and run INSTALL.BAT. After a successful installation, start the game, click on ROSTERS in the Main Menu, then click on RESET ROSTER and Choose YES. After that, go back to the Main Menu, click LOAD in the Game Setup Screen, then load '98/99 Rosters by Tim a. Lutz' or 'Active Rosters by Tim a. Lutz'.

NOTE: If there are already directories called 000 and/or 001 in your NBA98\SAVES directory, please rename them BEFORE installing this patch. Otherwise the patch will overwrite your Saved Files.

To uninstall this patch, remove the directories SAVES\000 and SAVES\001 in your NBA Live 98 directory and copy the files SCHOOLS.DBF and TEAMINFO.DBF from your NBA Live 98 CD into the ORIGDB directory in your NBA Live 98 folder and copy the file COMPARE.CSV from your NBA Live 98 CD into the CSV directory in your NBA Live folder.Then delete INSTALL.BAT and README.TXT from your NBA Live 98 folder.

Locating your main NBA Live 98 Directory
If you have trouble locating the main NBA Live 98 Directory on your HD, do a search for the file 'nbawin.exe' on your computer and note the folder it is in. This is your main NBA Live 98 Directory.

Hints :

Free Throws:
Hold down the Shift key while shooting a free throw and the player will shoot underhanded.

Secret Teams:
In the main screen, click on rosters, then click on create custom team. Enter one of the following names as the name of the custom team to access the secret teams which consist of the entire NBA Live 98 production Crew.
